Mera Dil Badal Day

If you think it’s that easy to leave singing… try to stop listening music & watching movies for a month!

If you think it’s that easy to leave a false profession… try to quit your banking job!

If you think it’s that easy to go for Tableegh, try to spare some time for that!

If you think it’s that easy to have beard on the face… try not to shave for a couple of weeks!

If you think it’s that easy to pull the trousers above the ankles… try to leave them pulled after Namaz!

If you think it’s that easy to wear only Shalwar Qameez… try to adopt this attire from now!

If you think it’s that easy to wear a Topi all the time… just have it on your head for a whole day!

And if you are a female you may think of attending a party without make up, or wearing a veil, or wearing abaya or lawn suits on all occasions!

There’s a huge difference between being a Born Muslim and being a Converted One! He converted to Islam at the peak of his career. (Here the term “converted” is used deliberately).

You know when you opt islam as the way of life… you have to face a lot of problems and difficulties! You’ve to see harsh gestures from people around you… you’ve to face comments & criticism, out of which the most bitter are from your loved ones… your family… your cousins… your friends… your siblings… even your parents sometimes… You’ve to bear “hey-if-you’re-doing-this, why-don’t-you-do-that” kinda attitude!

Junaid Jamshed faced all that stuff… he kept patient… he continued his journey… he knew one needs strong legs to reach the cliff…

He made mistakes during his youth… people didn’t notice them! He made mistakes after his conversion as well… people didn’t forgive… nor then not now…!

He was not perfect… is anyone of us? But he was extraordinary… how many of us are? Whatever he did, he did with passion… whether it was singing or Naatkhwani… business or tableegh… he showed dedication in all parts of his life!

He has now returned to Allah; The Most Merciful! I feel as if his beautiful voice is echoing here and there: Sarapa Faqr hoon… Ijz o Nidamat sath laya hoon!

May Allah bless his soul and grant him Jannah… May Allah shower His blessings on all the other Muslims who died in that tragic incident… aameen.

I always saw people weeping over the death of Ulama; yesterday I noticed Ulama weeping over him!

His life has set an example… His death has left a message… A crystal clear message: Turn To Allah Before You Return To Allah!
